“Family units change over time, but the permanency of architecture leaves functionality at times obsolete”

This house was a family refugee in the 80’s, a time that left its postmodern aesthetics footprint. Nowadays the family members that once lived in it have become independent and created their own family units leaving behind an inhabitable house with problems due to its archaic distribution.

We approach this house’s refurbishment from a point of view in which the functionality and timelessness of its aesthetics predominates, but always respecting its volume and history, returning it to life and adapting it to the social and technological changes experienced in the last 30 years.

After all, it is the “history that lies between the lines” that gives life to a home.
